Paper band filters are the most widely used method for filtration of coolants and oils contaminated with both non-ferrous and ferrous particles.
Filter paper in roll form is spread over a specially designed conveyor belt with a trough shape that retains the coolant. The filtered coolant passes through the paper into a clean tank. The paper roll is automatically indexed by a float-switch mechanism and geared motor, so the filter needs no manual attention and gives a very effective and economical means of filtration.
Paper band filters can also be supplied combined with magnetic filters to reduce the loading on the paper, which drastically reduces paper consumption. Capacities range from 50 LPM to 10,000 LPM.
