How It Operates

Small metal chips are fed continuously and evenly into the centrifuge hopper by the feeder conveyor. The chips slide into the fast-spinning wringer bowl and accelerate to bowl RPM. High centrifugal force drives them up the bowl wall, past the coolant exit slots, towards the upper edge - wringing the coolant off the chips and out through the exit slots. The dried chips pass over the bowl edge and discharge through the wringer housing into an extractor conveyor or swarf bin.

Design Features

Models UP-50, UP-500 and UP-1000 are designed and constructed for high performance, maximum reliability and long life with no maintenance. The bowl is machined from special alloy steel using high-precision techniques and heat treated to suit its function. The main shaft and bearing housing form a high-speed spindle assembly, and the complete unit is mounted on anti-vibration pads for enhanced service life.

For upstream chip size reduction, pair the centrifuge with a chip crusher / shredder.
